Why only Tata Docomo ?

Tata Telecom

Recently the Tata's have come out with a concept of charging the Indian mobile service users on a 'second' basis instead of charging for a minute. This is a wise move, from the Indian consumers' point of view as presently millions of mobile service users are made to pay for the time that they have not spoken.

Why is the Indian Government not doing anything to prevent the other Indian mobile companies from charging their customers for un utilised talk time ?

The Indian mobile companies are minting millions every second, out of every un utilized talk seconds !

Should we not think on this ??

  1. This issue is of course not relevant only to India but is also relevant to other countries whose Telecommunication Policies allow such practices. This issue was taken up for discussion [as early as 2005] in my MBA Class at UNITAR Malaysia and the students agreed that the telecom companies should charge only for the exact talk time of customers and not charge in pre determined blocks of time.

  2. It is nice to know that,,In saudi arabia the Saudi Telecom company is charging its customers on a per second basis.

If in saudi...why not in India....????
